Restaurant Sokrates in Cologne

This is how Greek food should be! Had to order due to the lockdown. Super fast, very tasty and plentiful !! The food was hot, as was the supplier (mine was very nice, of course ;-))!

In fact, we were there for the last time before the renovation, after which we only ordered once during lockdown. Food (grill plate for 2) was typically Greek a lot, tasty and still warm despite the delivery. Meat and side dishes all good. Price of 45 € without service, etc. is quite steep, for 35 € it would be 5 stars ...

So far we have only ordered. Food was always within 30 minutes. there and hot. Super quality and very tasty. I can only recommend the lamb skewers and the burger! Suppliers always super friendly!

Extremely friendly phone call! Delivery arrived on time according to the quality. Both the gyros and the burger were delicious and prepared with a kick. Lovely again. A slightly lower minimum order value would be nice. However, given the quality and the current situation, it is understandable that it has to pay off.

Good greek cuisine. The Skordalia tastes great and is recommended to everyone!

Delicious food, especially the lamb, friendly service and super nice owner

Have been there twice since the conversion to a restaurant and were enthusiastic about the food and the quality. The boss is an excellent restaurateur and host with body and soul. If you want to enjoy a Greek meal in pleasant surroundings, you will be very satisfied here. The food is not that cheap but you get fresh products that are tasty and attractively presented. A clear recommendation from me, Bon Appetit !!!!!!!

Staff super friendly and accommodating! :) The starters are delicious! The main course is ok. We were there on a Saturday evening and they didn't have a lot anymore, which was a shame.

Very nice ambience and delicious food. Staff were very friendly too. Had to wait a bit longer for the food, but when it was there we almost forgot about it.

We had lunch today, the people there were super friendly, delicious food and the sauces all seemed to be homemade. Will definitely be back :)

We ordered there yesterday and are very satisfied. The delivery driver was really very nice! The food was still very hot and that's how I imagine Greek food. - Simply terrific !! We will definitely order again. :-)

We do a trip to Cologne. Our hotel was near by Sokrates, so we tested it out. Delicious food, a nice service and great wines. When we return to Cologne we will definitely visit this restaurant again.

I'm not sure how this place has any positive reviews?? And here is why I'm surprised... Bottle of imported water for 5 Euro (no other choice). It's pretty expensive for portions are not made for grown-ups. 13.5 Euro for 3 tiny skewers of grilled pork? 12.5 Euro for 100g of grilled minced meat? All will be served with 40 French fries, 10 rocket salad and 1 cherry tomatoes on the same plate. So it looks full. Amazing business model!! :-). The waitress was very pushy one her, she just wanted to get more orders therefore she came over to the table no less than 7 times within an hour. Bottom line... The country is full of restaurants go somewhere else and try, see for yourself the difference.
